Tinka Welcomes Ex-APC Chieftain Masad to ADC in Gombe

Dr. Bala Bello Tinka, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State, welcomed Hon. Adamu Abdullahi Masad, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has defected to the ADC. Tinka described Masad as a grassroots politician with extensive experience in party administration.

Masad, a member of Birin Bolawa Ward in Nafada Local Government Area, previously held several positions within the APC, including first financial secretary, assistant organising secretary, liaison officer for Gombe North, and chairman of the APC in Nafada LGA. Tinka expressed his delight at Masad's decision to join the ADC, viewing it as a sign of increasing confidence in the party as the 2027 general elections approach.

He assured Masad of equal opportunities and full participation within the ADC. Masad, currently serving as Senior Special Assistant II, submitted his resignation from the APC on September 7, 2026, citing personal conviction and consultations for a better future.
