Gombe ADC Publicity Secretary Abdulrahman Zaune Resigns

Abdulrahman Buba Zaune, the publicity secretary of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State, officially resigned from the party effective August 5, 2026. In his resignation letter addressed to the ward chairman of Zaune ward in Dukku Local Government Area, he expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had to serve in various capacities within the party.

Zaune's resignation has sparked political interest in the state, particularly as it occurred just a day after Jamilu Isiyaka Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, visited Dukku, where Zaune is from. This move follows a recent trend in the ADC, as Ahmed Gana, the state secretary of the ADC, also resigned to join the APC in support of Gwamna.
