Garkuwa Babba Defects to APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma, popularly known as Garkuwa Babba, a prominent political figure and former aspirant for the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency seat, has defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). He made this announcement during a meeting with Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya at the Gombe Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

Garkuwa Babba, who is also the National Chairman of the ADC House of Representatives Aspirants Forum, pledged his political structure and grassroots support to the APC in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. He committed to mobilizing his network in support of Yahaya’s senate bid and other APC candidates.

Governor Yahaya welcomed Babba and his supporters, expressing gratitude for their decision to join the party, which he described as a significant boost for the APC. He emphasized the importance of unity and loyalty within the party and reaffirmed his commitment to an inclusive APC.
