Gothia Cup Scouting Tournament Concludes in Lagos Tomorrow

The Gothia Cup scouting tournament, focused on grassroots football, commenced on March 14, 2026, in Lagos and is set to conclude tomorrow, March 21, 2026. The tournament is organized by SKF Nigeria, part of the SKF Group based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Mr. Oludar Oyegun, representing SKF Nigeria, highlighted that the tournament provides an opportunity for 18 boys to showcase their talent to scouts from Sweden, who will monitor the participants for potential sponsorship and opportunities abroad.

The event aims to identify winners who will be supported in a new phase of development. The SKF Eagles team from Nigeria emerged as winners in the U-16 category during the 2024-2025 Gothia Cup, emphasizing the tournament's role in promoting youth football and social responsibility.
