Adeleke Calls for Peace and Development After Victory

Following his election victory in the Osun State governorship election, Governor Ademola Adeleke appealed for peace and unity among the people to heal the wounds caused by pre-election violence. He warned against post-election attacks on rivals and urged forgiveness and communal love.

Observing a minute of silence for victims of the violence, Adeleke tasked community leaders and traditional institutions with peace-building efforts. He dedicated his victory to God and the people of Osun, promising not to disappoint them during his second term.

He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting a free and fair election and reaffirmed his endorsement of Tinubu for a second presidential term in 2027. Adeleke emphasized that there are no victors or vanquished in this race and extended an olive branch to his co-contestants, stating his vision is to transform Osun from a civil service state to an industrial and investment hub.
