Dajoh Accuses Governor Alia of Conspiracy Over Palace Move

Dajoh, the former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, accused Governor Hyacinth Alia of orchestrating his removal because he opposed relocating the Tiv palace to Alia's hometown. Dajoh alleged that Alia sent a letter requesting the relocation, which was rejected by the Gboko community.

He claimed that influential figures within Alia's circle warned him about the risks of opposing the proposal. Dajoh also accused Alia of misusing public resources in an unsuccessful attempt to remove Chief Judge Maurice Ikpambese, alleging that N200 million was spent in the process.

In response, Tersoo Kula, the governor's chief press secretary, dismissed Dajoh's claims as false and baseless, asserting that no such letter regarding the palace relocation was ever sent. Kula challenged Dajoh to provide evidence for his allegations and defended the government's handling of state projects.

Dajoh resigned from his position on August 24, 2025, citing the need to act in the state's best interest.
