Governor Mohammed Optimistic for APM in 2027 Elections

During the 2026 Local Council elections in Bauchi State, Governor Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed cast his vote at the Yelwan Duguri polling unit, supporting his preferred candidate for Alkaleri Local Government. The election saw a large turnout of women voters, who expressed satisfaction with the electoral process and the Governor's contributions to their community.

Shahuda Adamu, a 28-year-old housewife, noted the massive mobilization by candidates and political parties, while Tafisu Jika highlighted the development in the area since the Governor's tenure. Jummai Musa Duguri, a 70-year-old woman, emphasized the importance of voting to continue enjoying the dividends of democracy.

Governor Mohammed expressed confidence that the Allied People’s Movement (APM) would perform well in the 2027 general elections, citing its growing acceptability. He mentioned the successful conduct of party primaries and his hope for a peaceful transition of leadership to a candidate from his party.
