Kebbi Governor Flags Off 2.9km Road Construction in Gwandu

On a significant occasion, Governor Dr. Nasir Idris of Kebbi State officially flagged off the construction of a 2.9 km road on Ahmadu Bello Road in Gwandu Town, Gwandu Local Government Area. This project is a fulfillment of a campaign promise made during his election campaign.

Governor Idris emphasized the importance of the road, which has been in dire need of reconstruction for years, and noted that it marks a milestone in his administration's commitment to delivering people-oriented infrastructure across Kebbi State. He warned contractors to strictly adhere to specifications to ensure quality work is delivered within the stipulated timeframe.

Adequate funding has already been allocated for the successful completion of the project. The governor also mentioned plans to improve electricity supply in the area.

Hon. Atiku Ahmad, Chairman of Gwandu Local Government, expressed gratitude for the governor's support and commitment to the development of Gwandu, highlighting that 80 percent of campaign promises have already been fulfilled.
