Enugu State Governor Initiates Committee to Review State Taxes and Revenues

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has set up a committee to conduct a comprehensive review of the state's tax policies, rates, levies, and fees.

The nine-member committee, chaired by Ikechukwu Ezenwukwa, includes representatives from various interest groups and government bodies. The committee will assess Enugu State's revenue practices against benchmarks from Lagos, Abuja, and other South-East states.

The aim is to enhance compliance, transparency, and revenue efficiency through recommended reforms. The review will focus on existing laws, revenue impacts, and administrative processes to optimize revenue collection in Enugu State.
