Jigawa State Inaugurates Tax Reform Committee to Align with Federal Framework

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi inaugurated a 36-member Tax Reform Committee chaired by Professor Hannatu Sabo Ahmad. The committee's goal is to align the state's tax system with the new federal tax reform framework.

It will study the federal framework, identify suitable areas for domestic implementation, propose strategies, and engage key stakeholders. Nasiru Sabo Idri, the Chairman of Jigawa State Board of Internal Revenue, emphasized the significance of the committee in implementing the new tax framework at the state level.
