Mutfwang Restructures Plateau State Security Architecture

Governor Mutfwang of Plateau State has announced a restructuring of the state's security architecture. He has appointed Brigadier General Nash Yakubu (rtd) as the new coordinator of the Operation Rainbow security outfit, effective immediately.

Additionally, Major General Bala Isandu (rtd) has been appointed as the special adviser on security. The governor expressed confidence in the wealth of experience and professional dedication that both appointees bring to their roles.

He urged them to apply their expertise diligently to advance the administration's vision for peace, security, and prosperity in Plateau State. The statement from the governor's office, signed by Secretary Samuel Jatau, emphasized the commitment to strengthening the security architecture to enhance the protection of lives and properties across the state, ensuring the safety and security of educational institutions.

Brigadier General Nash Yakubu has a distinguished 35-year career in the Nigerian Army, with critical roles in local and international missions, including peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone and Sudan.
