Governor Otti Orders Rehabilitation of Ibeama Primary School

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has directed the immediate rehabilitation of Ibeama Primary School located in Ndume Otuka, Umuahia North Local Government Area, which is the alma mater of Nigeria's first military head of state, General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi. This directive was issued during a civic reception organized in honor of Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Austin Nmergini, held at the school premises.

In response to appeals from community leaders, Otti instructed the commissioning of work by Engr. Otumcher Oti to inspect the road linking the community to the late military leader's residence and submit a report to facilitate the rehabilitation. The chairman of the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB) has been directed to begin the restoration process of the historical primary school immediately.

Governor Otti emphasized that the intervention aligns with his administration's ongoing efforts to improve public school infrastructure across the 17 local government areas of Abia State.
