B-Red Opposes Father Ademola Adeleke's Presidential Bid

Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red, stated in a 2023 interview on the Echoroom podcast that he does not wish for his father, Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, to become President of Nigeria, despite his belief that his father would lead the country well. This interview resurfaced on social media following Ademola Adeleke's re-election on August 15, 2023, where he defeated APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji.

B-Red acknowledged that while people have suggested his father could become president, he personally does not want the associated pressure. He described Ademola as having "such a good heart" and asserted that Nigeria would improve significantly under his leadership, focusing on the needs of the people rather than personal gain.

B-Red also emphasized that the Adeleke family has been wealthy long before entering politics, countering the notion that financial motives drive their political involvement. The Adeleke family has a notable political history, with Ademola's late brother, Isiaka Adeleke, having served as governor and senator.
