Adeleke Unfazed by Federal Might Ahead of Election

Ademola Adeleke, the Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, stated he is not intimidated by the alleged backing of the Federal Government and certain state governors for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate ahead of the August 15 governorship election. Speaking during the Arise Townhall Meeting, Adeleke referred to himself as a “bulldozer,” ready to confront what he termed “Federal might.” He dismissed the notion that the presence of supporting governors would sway the election results, asserting that they are his friends and their involvement would not translate into votes.

Adeleke emphasized that while governors are free to campaign, they cannot vote in the election. He also refuted claims that his administration had militarized Osun, clarifying that he lacks the constitutional authority to deploy armed forces.

The political landscape in Osun State is intensifying as parties ramp up their campaigns ahead of the election, with Adeleke seeking another term against the APC candidate.
