Ex-Minister Dalung Criticizes Nigerian Governors for Failing the Country

Solomon Dalung, a former Minister of Sports and Youth Development during President Muhammadu Buhari's administration, expressed strong criticism towards Nigerian governors, accusing them of leading the country towards a dire state. He pointed out the developmental discrepancies between regions, citing the ability of the Southern part of Nigeria to progress in line with the dreams of its founding fathers, unlike the North.

Dalung mentioned historical figures like Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Sardauna, praising their legacies. He specifically highlighted the poor performance of governors since the Fourth Republic, mentioning some who he believed had failed to govern effectively, worsening the situation in their states.

Dalung's remarks were made during an interview with Trust TV, where he emphasized the need for better governance and development across Nigeria.
