Group Supports Tinubu, Warns Against Unfit Appointments

A group known as Watchdog Diplomat has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu's "Renew Hope" agenda while cautioning against the appointment of individuals considered medically unfit for public office. In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, the group's coordinator, Georg Piu, described the administration's policies as a visionary blueprint capable of reviving Nigeria's economy and restoring national pride.

The group noted that the "Renew Hope" agenda is crucial for sustainable development and deserves transparent and inclusive implementation. However, they urged President Tinubu to exercise caution in appointing officials, stressing that public office holders must possess competence, experience, and sound physical health.

The statement raised concerns about potential appointments, specifically citing Engin Adokiy Tombomiey, due to alleged health challenges that could affect performance in office. The group emphasized that public servants, especially in critical sectors like the Niger Delta, require immense stamina and physical resilience to effectively contribute to national development.
