Gunmen Abduct Three Students in Lafia, Nasarawa State

On Saturday night, at approximately 8:45 p.m., three 100-level students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) were abducted from Sure Leaders Lodge, an off-campus hostel located in the Bukan Kwato area of Lafia, Nasarawa State. A source, who requested anonymity for security reasons, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust.

This abduction marks a significant security breach involving students of FULafia, intensifying fears among students and parents about the safety of off-campus hostels in the area. As of the report's filing, the management of FULafia had not released an official statement regarding the abduction.

However, sources within the university's Information Unit indicated they were unaware of the reported abduction but acknowledged an attack on a female student. The Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the abduction occurred on Saturday night.
