Gunmen Kill Vigilante Commander and Three Women in Rivers

On Monday evening, a vigilante commander of OSPAC was killed by unknown gunmen while relaxing with his sister and her friend near his residence in Omoku, Rivers State. The attack resulted in the deaths of three women on the spot, with two others sustaining injuries and receiving treatment.

The incident has caused panic in the community, leading residents to flee and business owners to close their shops. Comrade Nkem Godknows, the Public Relations Officer of OSPAC, confirmed the attack, stating it occurred shortly after 5 p.m.

He expressed concerns that this killing could indicate a resurgence of violence reminiscent of the "Don Wanie" era. ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, the Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers State, assured that the police would investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice, urging the public to provide any useful information.

The Rivers State Police Command condemned the attack, emphasizing the need for community support for OSPAC.
