Gunmen Kill Vigilante in Plateau State Attack

On July 14, 2026, at approximately 10 PM, gunmen attacked the Wereng Rim Community in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulting in the death of a 43-year-old vigilante named Mangai Musa. The assailants opened fire during the attack, causing panic among residents who fled for safety.

The Berom Youth Moulder Association confirmed the fatality in a statement issued by its national public secretary, Rwang Tengwong. The circumstances surrounding the attack are currently under investigation, and the incident is described as part of a series of violent attacks targeting innocent residents in the Riyom Local Government Area.
