Tunji Disu Decorated as New Acting IGP at Aso Rock

On Wednesday, Acting Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu arrived at Aso Rock, the presidential villa in Abuja, at 3 PM for his official decoration ceremony. This event follows his appointment as the nation's police chief after the resignation of former Inspector General Kayode Egbetokun.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu accepted Egbetokun's resignation, which was submitted in a letter citing personal commitments that required his undivided attention. The announcement of Egbetokun's resignation was made by special adviser to the president on strategic communications, Bayo Onanuga.

Disu's appointment aims to ensure continued leadership within the Nigeria Police Force during this transition period.
