Presidential Aid Empowers 95 Youths in South East Nigeria

On a recent occasion at the Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, Barr Chioma Nweze, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in the South East, empowered 95 individuals through a vocational skills training program. This initiative, part of the Federal Government's efforts to promote entrepreneurship and reduce unemployment in the region, targeted beneficiaries from 95 local government areas across Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo states.

The program included training in various skills, particularly in fashion design, alongside lessons in financial literacy and business management. Graduates received brand new sewing machines and startup funds to enable them to commence business operations immediately.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Engr David Umahi, the Minister of Works, and Mr. Maudlin Uzoamaka Nwifuru, a member of the National Assembly.

This initiative reflects the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to empowering young Nigerians and creating opportunities for wealth creation.
