Sheriff Oborevwori Wins Outstanding Governor Award

Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, was honored with the Outstanding Governor of the Year Award by the Independent Newspaper, a recognition that signifies a growing consensus on the transformative leadership in Delta State. The award, which is not given lightly, combines public votes and rigorous evaluations by a jury board, underscoring the importance of performance over rhetoric.

Since taking office in 2023, Governor Oborevwori has prioritized infrastructure development, addressing the challenges posed by rapid urbanization in Nigeria. His administration has successfully constructed approximately 300 kilometers of roads within a year, significantly improving access to essential services in cities like Warri, Effurun, and Ughelli.
