Ibiyeomie Advocates Love Over Hellfire Messages in Nigeria

David Ibiyeomie, the founder and presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries, expressed that the traditional message of hell is losing its impact on Nigerians due to severe economic hardships. He addressed his congregants, suggesting that instead of focusing on hellfire, pastors should preach messages of love and compassion.

Ibiyeomie noted that many Nigerians are struggling with basic needs, making fear-based messages ineffective. He stated, “Just tell them God loves you; He can change your story.

Come to Jesus,” emphasizing that compassion should drive Christians to share the love of Jesus. He referenced Psalm 103:8 to illustrate God's compassionate nature and urged believers to extend this quality to others.

Citing Ephesians 4:32, he encouraged kindness and forgiveness among Christians, asserting that compassion is a powerful expression of God's nature and essential for converting souls.
