Ibiyeomie Advocates Compassionate Evangelism in Nigeria

David Ibiyeomie, the Founder and Presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries, delivered a sermon titled "The Power of Compassion" on Sunday, urging Christians to adopt a compassionate approach to evangelism in Nigeria. He stated that preaching about hell to individuals already facing severe economic challenges, such as hunger and high living costs, is ineffective.

Ibiyeomie emphasized that messages of God's love and transformation should be prioritized, as many Nigerians feel they are already in a state of hell due to their struggles. He argued that compassion should be central to evangelism, encouraging Christians to assure those in hardship that God loves them and can change their circumstances.

Citing biblical references, he described compassion as a vital expression of God's nature, which involves seeing, caring, and acting on behalf of others. Ibiyeomie also noted that acts of compassion extend beyond financial assistance, highlighting the need for emotional and spiritual support.
