House Committee Enhances Oversight with SURCON, NITT

The House Committee on Transport, chaired by Hon. Peter Ez, conducted a high-level engagement with the Surveyor Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) at the Commission's headquarters in Abuja.

This meeting aimed to strengthen oversight and compliance with federal character principles and advance the reform agenda of the Commission. The SURCON delegation was led by Mr.

Olugbemiro Kunle, while Dr. Bayero Salih Farah headed the NITT delegation.

Hon. Peter Ez reaffirmed the Committee's commitment to effective oversight of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) under its jurisdiction, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability.

The discussions included strategies to enhance inter-agency cooperation and improve service delivery within Nigeria's public service system. The meeting also featured a visit to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Hon.

Hulayat Ayo Omidiran, who was commended for her visionary leadership.
