FCC Enhances Oversight with SURCON and NITT Engagement

The Federal Character Commission (FCC), led by Hon. Peter Ez, is intensifying its oversight efforts by collaborating with the Surveyor Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT). This engagement, held at the FCC headquarters in Abuja, aims to deepen compliance with federal character principles and advance the commission's reform agenda.

SURCON was represented by Mr. Olugbemiro Kunle, while Dr. Bayero Salih Farah led the NITT delegation. Hon. Peter Ez reaffirmed the FCC's commitment to effective oversight of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) within its jurisdiction, emphasizing that this engagement is not a routine exercise but a strategic platform to promote accountability and transparency.

The session underscored the importance of institutional partnerships in achieving the FCC's reform objectives, with discussions focusing on improving compliance mechanisms and enhancing inter-agency cooperation within Nigeria's public service system. The visit included Hon. Hulayat Ayo Omidiran, the executive chairman, and other committee members representing various states.
