Akintola Reveals How June 12 Struggle Impacted Ladoja's Business Empire

Former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN, revealed how Oba Rasidi Ladoja's business empire suffered due to his financial contributions to the June 12 pro-democracy movement under NADECO. Akintola disclosed this during a Yoruba program on BCOS TV, highlighting Ladoja's significant support for the movement, which led to setbacks in his business ventures.

Ladoja, who was part of the pro-democracy movement against the military junta in 1983, saw his palm plantation in Cross Rivers State, the largest in West Africa, drained to fund the movement. Despite the sacrifices, Ladoja's business empire never fully recovered from the financial strain.
