Evolution of Mosquito Protection in Nigerian Homes

In Nigeria, mosquito protection in homes has significantly evolved from traditional methods such as mosquito coils and nets to more advanced solutions like treated nets, electric repellents, and targeted sprays. Historically, mosquito coils were favored for their affordability and ease of use, especially in areas with unreliable electricity.

However, the effectiveness of these methods is being challenged by the development of resistance among malaria-transmitting mosquito populations to commonly used insecticides.
