Ubi Franklin Reveals Suicide Attempt After Marriage Collapse

Ubi Franklin, a Nigerian music executive and artist manager, disclosed in a video on Instagram that the breakdown of his marriage to actress Lilian Esoro plunged him into depression and led him to attempt suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge. Despite his successful career, Franklin experienced significant emotional pain and embarrassment after his wife left him, feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.

He recounted a specific incident where he drove a red CL to the bridge with the intent to end his life, but was saved by his cousin, Omini Stitches, who intervened multiple times during his struggles. Franklin reflected on his failed marriage, stating that he has accepted that not all relationships are meant to last and emphasized the importance of co-parenting with Esoro for the sake of their son, whom he considers his greatest blessing.

He urged others to view difficult situations as opportunities for growth and to avoid holding onto bitterness.
