Ubi Franklin Opens Up About Suicide Attempt in Lagos

Ubi Franklin, a Nigerian music artist manager, disclosed in a video shared on his Instagram page that he attempted suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. He explained that his depression stemmed from his marriage to his ex-wife, Lilian Esoro, who left him despite his career success.

Franklin recounted feeling embarrassed and confused about the end of their relationship, stating he had tried to commit suicide several times, with his cousin, Omini Stitches, rescuing him on one occasion. He drove to the bridge in a red CL car with the intention of ending his life.

Despite the pain of the separation, Franklin emphasized the importance of learning from such experiences and maintaining a good co-parenting relationship with Esoro for the sake of their son. He expressed his continued support for her and acknowledged that not all love stories end as one might hope.
