Peter Obi Reflects on Political Journey and Divine Grace

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), shared reflections on his political journey, expressing curiosity about why he was led away from a comfortable life into politics. Speaking to supporters, Obi stated that if given the chance, he would ask God why he left his comfort zone to pursue a political career.

He believes that every position individuals occupy is part of God's plan and should be utilized to serve humanity. Obi described his current political role as a “product of divine grace,” emphasizing the responsibility to not misuse the opportunities given to him.

He began his political career in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), serving as the governor of Anambra State. Later, he joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was the party’s vice-presidential candidate in 2019.

Ahead of the 2023 general election, he moved to the Labour Party (LP) and finished third in the presidential race. Obi is now seeking the presidency again in 2027 as the candidate of the NDC.
