Peter Obi Challenges Nigerians to Voice Concerns Publicly

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, addressed Nigerians during a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Thursday. He urged both domestic and international Nigerians to publicly express any grievances they may have against him, asserting that transparency is crucial for those seeking leadership roles.

Obi emphasized the necessity for votes to count in the upcoming 2027 general elections, warning against electoral malpractice. He stated, “Our votes this time must count, and whoever doesn’t count them, we will count the person.” He criticized the trend of outsourcing political campaigns, declaring that leadership should be directly engaged with the electorate.

Obi also referenced a legal case he initiated against an individual who claimed to possess damaging information about him, indicating his commitment to addressing any allegations directly.
