NIMC Offers Free NIN Slip Downloads via NINAuth App

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has provided a method for Nigerians to download their National Identification Number (NIN) slips for free using the NINAuth mobile application. This process was demonstrated in a video shared on NIMC's official X account.

Users can authenticate their NIN and download the slip directly to their mobile devices without needing to visit enrolment centres or pay third-party agents. The commission emphasized that the service is free and straightforward, requiring only a few steps.

Once verified, users can click on 'Download NIN Slip' to save the official document. NIMC launched the NINAuth application in October 2025 to allow Nigerians to manage access to their personal data across various sectors.

In June 2026, it was announced that NIN holders could download their official slips at no cost. The downloaded slip serves as an official document for use in banks, government offices, and other institutions.
