Humanity Hoops Foundation Aims to Support Kaduna Youth

The Humanity Hoops Foundation is actively working to take Almajiri children and other vulnerable youth off the streets of Kaduna State by offering structured activities, mentorship, and support. This initiative aims to address challenges that lead young people to crime and drug abuse while helping them develop their talents.

The foundation's efforts were highlighted during a grassroots handball tournament organized in collaboration with the Kaduna State Ministry of Sports Development, featuring nine teams, with Team Combat Zaria emerging as the winners. Yusuf Abubakar, the Chief Executive Officer of Humanity Hoops Foundation, stated that the program aims to provide meaningful engagement for children and revive grassroots handball in the state, which has not hosted a major handball championship in the past five or six years.

Abubakar emphasized the importance of engaging children in sports to reduce crime and called for contributions from private individuals alongside government efforts.
