Hunye Welcomes Adeola's Lawsuit Threat Over Ancestry Claims

Abayomi Hunye, a member of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State, has welcomed Senator Solomon Adeola's threat to take legal action over claims regarding Adeola's alleged Ekiti ancestry. Adeola, the party's 2027 governorship candidate, demanded evidence from Hunye and Peoples Democratic Party chieftain Folake Marcus-Bello within 24 hours or face a lawsuit.

Hunye, through his media aide Femi Oyewale, stated he is ready to meet Adeola in court, asserting he possesses documentary evidence to support his claims. He noted that a legal matter concerning the disputed ancestry is already before a court, labeling Adeola's ultimatum as a political tactic for public attention.

Hunye accused Adeola of attempting to intimidate those questioning his ancestry and eligibility for the governorship election, emphasizing that such matters are of public interest. He challenged Adeola to pursue the issue in court rather than through media threats, asserting that truth serves as a defense against libel.
