Datti Baba-Ahmed Reveals Advice to Peter Obi on ADC

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the former Vice Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, disclosed in an interview on MIC ON Podcast that he advised Peter Obi against joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Baba-Ahmed expressed his concerns regarding Obi's decision to leave his previous political arrangement, warning that the ADC was not suitable for his ambitions.

He recounted a private meeting at the Yar’Adua Centre where he sought to convey his apprehensions directly to Obi. Baba-Ahmed stated, “This is the last time I’m coming to this place.

I gave him my reasons. ‘This is not a place for you.’” He noted that he was proven right when Obi left the ADC within four months. Baba-Ahmed emphasized that after Obi moved out of his comfort zone against his advice, he could no longer assist him.
