Datti Baba-Ahmed Offers Support to Peter Obi in Benue

Datti Baba-Ahmed, the former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, stated on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast that his political affiliation with a different party than Peter Obi, the flag bearer of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), does not impact their personal relationship. Baba-Ahmed referred to Obi as his "boss" and mentioned that he could have provided assistance during a recent incident in Benue State, where Obi's convoy was obstructed by thugs while attempting to reach Yelwata for a humanitarian visit.

He highlighted the strength of their relationship, noting that he could contact Obi directly and receive a prompt response. Baba-Ahmed illustrated this by stating that he could call Obi and inquire about the situation in Benue, emphasizing that Obi knows he could have helped in that scenario.

He affirmed the solidity of their relationship, indicating that he remains close enough to Obi to offer support.
