Tinubu Endorses Hamzat for Lagos Gubernatorial Race

Lagos State Deputy Governor Hamzat has expressed confidence in his gubernatorial ambition after receiving an endorsement from President Bola Tinubu. This endorsement occurred during a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

Hamzat, who is preparing for the upcoming gubernatorial election, was accompanied by a delegation led by Tajudeen Olusi, the chairman of the Gubernatorial Advisory Council (GAC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC). During the meeting, President Tinubu officially endorsed Hamzat's candidacy, which he described as a decision that would benefit the state.

Hamzat acknowledged the support and expressed his readiness to take on the responsibilities associated with the governorship role, indicating that he has learned a lot from the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
