Wike Mourns PDP Leader Chief Daniel Osi Orbih's Death

Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, expressed profound sorrow over the death of Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, who served as the National Vice Chairman (South South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Orbih passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih, and their children, Miss Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih, along with other family members. Wike, through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, described Orbih as “a friend indeed” and lamented the loss as the “fall of one of the biggest trees in the political forest of Edo.” He emphasized that Orbih was a committed political ally and a man of faith, extending condolences to the family of Chief M.C.K.
