Businessman Alleges N400m Bribe to PFIPC Director-General

Gbenga Collins, the Managing Director of Divine Dopacy Nigeria Limited, testified before the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the activities of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). He revealed that he paid N400 million to Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director-General of PFIPC, after being promised a contract to renovate and furnish Adeyemi's official residence.

Collins first met Adeyemi in December 2024 in Ogbomoso and was later invited to Abuja in early 2025 to discuss the business opportunity. Upon arrival, Collins was picked up by an official vehicle and taken to Adeyemi's office, where he observed a functioning government environment, including security personnel.

Adeyemi presented himself as the Director-General of both the PFIPC and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC). Collins stated that Adeyemi showed him the property intended for renovation and discussed the contract details.

Collins continued discussions with Adeyemi until April 2025, when he was invited back to Abuja.
