Adeleke Presents Certificate of Return to Tinubu

On Thursday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke presented his certificate of return to President Bola Tinubu following a closed-door meeting at Aso Villa, Abuja. Adeleke arrived at the villa at 5:25 pm, accompanied by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

This meeting marked Adeleke's first with President Tinubu since his re-election in the governorship election held the previous Saturday. In a tweet from Adeleke’s Special Assistant on Digital Media, Olalekan Badmus, the governor was seen shaking hands with the president.

On Wednesday, Adeleke received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), presented by Prof Kunle Ajayi, the INEC National Commissioner for the South-West. Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, won the election with 511,067 votes, defeating All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who garnered 444,815 votes.

Adeleke also announced plans to establish a N500 million endowment fund for victims of election violence.
