Suspected Kidnapper Claims N40,000 Payment for Abduction

Victor Ini, a 35-year-old native of Akwa Ibom State, was arrested in connection with the abduction of a woman in Rivers State. During an interrogation video shared by Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer Blessing Agabe, Ini revealed that he joined a kidnap gang after being promised N40,000 for his involvement.

He explained that the gang's plan was to abduct the woman from her shop, demand money, and subsequently release her. Ini stated that the woman's neighbor, identified as Chukwuebuka, had sent them to carry out the attack, claiming that the woman had money.

Ini emphasized that it was his first time working with the gang and that he had not yet received any payment for the operation. He mentioned that the gang members included Chukwuebuka, Chinedu, Okwozichi, and Evance, and reiterated that he had not made any money from the planned kidnapping.
