Mother Pleads for Help After Child Abducted in Oyo Attack

A distraught mother from Oriire Local Government Area in Oyo State has made an emotional appeal for assistance following the abduction of her child and other pupils by armed men. The incident occurred while she was preparing her child for school when gunmen invaded the community, leading to chaos.

The mother recounted how she watched helplessly as armed men gathered her child and other victims, taking them away. She had hidden during the attack, which involved gunfire, and later discovered that her child was among the abducted.

The mother, who moved to Nigeria seeking better opportunities after her husband's death, expressed her anguish and uncertainty about her child's fate. She acknowledged the efforts of the Oyo State Government but urgently called for more intervention to ensure the safe return of the abducted children.

The attack resulted in the abduction of 46 pupils and a teacher, with families expressing frustration and anguish as they await news of their loved ones.
