Jiya Pledges Loyalty to Kwara North as PDP Candidate

Kolo Baba Jiya, the Kwara North senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), assured his supporters that he would not betray their trust, expressing gratitude for their confidence in him. During a welcome-home visit following his nomination, he emphasized his commitment to the interests of the Kwara North constituency.

Jiya's visit included stops in various locations within the Kwara North Senatorial District, such as Tsaragi in Edu Local Government Area and several areas in Patigi Local Government Area. He criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for conducting an unfair primary election in Kwara State, citing irregularities that influenced his decision to run under the PDP in the upcoming general election.

Additionally, Jiya clarified that he does not have a political godfather, referring to former Senate President Bukola Saraki as his political leader instead.
