IBEDC Suspends Staff for Alleged Vandalism in Osun

The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc has confirmed the suspension of certain staff members due to their alleged involvement in the vandalism of its infrastructure located in Ikirun, Osun State. Angela Olanrewaju, the Coordinating Head of Corporate Services at IBEDC, announced the suspension in a statement released to newsmen in Ibadan on Wednesday.

This disciplinary action is consistent with IBEDC's strict zero-tolerance policy towards vandalism, theft of electricity infrastructure, and any unethical or criminal behavior. The suspended staff members will remain so while an investigation is conducted.

IBEDC has expressed concern over the rising incidents of vandalism, which negatively impact electricity supply and customer service. The company has commended the Osun State Police Command for their efforts in addressing the issue and has pledged full cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force during the ongoing investigation.
