ICPC Charges FRSC Officer with N4.31m Job Racketeering

Mohan Adamu Ndagiyapa, a Marshal Inspector II with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Jabi, Abuja. He faces four counts of receiving gratification to confer corrupt advantage, contrary to the provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act of 2000.

The charges allege that between January 2021 and December 2022, Ndagiyapa received N3,260,000 through accounts at Stanbic IBTC Bank and First City Monument Bank under the pretext of securing employment with the FRSC. Additionally, he allegedly received another N1,050,000 from Munda Babayo, bringing the total amount involved in the alleged job racket scheme to N4,310,000.

Ndagiyapa pleaded not guilty to the charges. Following his plea, counsel for the ICPC, Leslie Iheduru, requested the court to set a date for the trial, which Justice F.E.
