Gbajabiamila Questioned by ICPC Over PFIPC Scandal

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President of Nigeria, is under investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) concerning the PFIPC scandal. Allegations have surfaced that he was involved in a payment of N400 million and that his late Chief of Staff, Babatunde Tanimola, demanded 48% of a N27.3 billion grant.

Gbajabiamila has denied these allegations and has filed a N15 billion suit against Adeniyi Adeyemi, who made the claims. President Bola Tinubu has directed the ICPC to probe the matter within 30 days.

Gbajabiamila's counsel, Mondai Jiti Oguny, confirmed that his client is fully cooperating with the ICPC and has been invited to appear for questioning on July 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the PFIPC, which is described as a fake agency.
