ICPC Tracks N2bn Constituency Projects in Bauchi

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has tracked 29 constituency projects in Bauchi, valued at N2,062,155,613.98. This tracking exercise, which began on August 17, 2026, is part of ICPC's efforts to ensure that government-funded projects are executed according to their Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and provide value for money.

The initiative is being conducted by the Commission’s Constituency Projects Tracking Group (CPTG), which includes personnel from both its headquarters in Abuja and Bauchi. Assistant Chief Superintendent (ACS) Mohammed Abdullahi Tanko, the Team Leader, stated that the ICPC is committed to monitoring the execution and performance of these projects nationwide.

Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, Chairman of the Commission, has directed relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and National Assembly members to ensure that allocated funds match the actual work done. The ICPC aims to reduce contract fund diversion and project abandonment, utilizing technology for tracking and auditing public infrastructure.
