Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary for 2027 Elections

Bola Tinubu, the current president of Nigeria, admitted to experiencing hardship alongside citizens, stating he has lost sleep and weight due to the challenges faced during his administration. He made these remarks while addressing party leaders after being declared the winner of the APC presidential primary for the 2027 elections, where he received 10,999,162 votes.

His sole challenger, Stanlei Osifo, garnered 16,503 votes. The primary was conducted across 774 local government areas and 8,809 wards nationwide.

Tinubu expressed gratitude for his nomination and emphasized the importance of unity and progress in Nigeria, noting the peaceful atmosphere during the voting process observed in various cities including Kano, Kaduna, and Calabar. He urged party members to support his candidacy as the primary election unfolded on a Saturday morning.
