IGP Disu Warns Osun Politicians Against Criminals

During a visit to Osun State, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu addressed concerns regarding the harboring of suspected criminals by politicians. He met with Governor Ademola Adeleke and emphasized the need for law enforcement to arrest individuals involved in criminal activities, regardless of their status.

Disu was accompanied by other police officials, including Femi Haruna and Akinyel Fasuba. Governor Adeleke responded to the IGP's concerns, warning against the potential for anarchy in the state and calling for investigations into violent crimes.

He stated that individuals committing crimes should be arrested, including those related to a recent incident involving the murder of a 14-year-old boy in Ilobu. The governor expressed his commitment to cooperating with the police to ensure safety and security.

Additionally, he addressed allegations from the APC regarding the use of Amotekun to perpetrate crime, urging thorough investigations into such claims.
